Refund & Returns Policy

General

(a) This refund policy applies specifically to purchases made via the KO | WT Stock Website, where customers are purchasing in-stock items only.
(b) All refund and return requests will be handled in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, as well as the conditions outlined here.
(c) Additional benefits offered in this Policy apply in addition to your rights under the ACL.
(d) Please ensure you read this Policy prior to purchase so you understand your rights.

Australian Consumer Law

Under the ACL:

  • You are entitled to a refund or replacement if a product fails to meet consumer guarantees.
  • You are entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
    (a) KO Welding Pty Ltd honours all obligations under the ACL.
    (b) If this Policy conflicts with the ACL, the ACL prevails.

Change of Mind & Order Cancellation

As this website only sells ready-to-ship stock, we generally do not accept change-of-mind returns unless:

  • The product is unused, in original packaging, and
  • A return is requested within 7 days of delivery.

If accepted, a restocking fee may apply (usually 10–20%) and the customer will be responsible for return freight. KO Welding reserves the right to decline returns for change of mind.

Order cancellations are only possible prior to dispatch. Once your item has shipped, a return must be requested under this policy.

Items Damaged in Transit

If your item arrives damaged:

  • Notify us in writing within 3 business days of delivery.
  • Include clear photos and a description of the issue.
  • Retain all original packaging.

We will assess the damage and, if confirmed, arrange a replacement or refund (including freight costs).

Exceptions to Returns or Refunds

We may refuse to provide a return, refund or replacement where:

  • You misused the product.
  • You were aware of faults before purchase.
  • You altered or modified the product after delivery.
  • Damage occurred due to installation errors, unauthorised repair or tampering.
  • Product failure was due to neglect, poor maintenance, or external forces (e.g. water, weather, electrical surges).

Return Freight & Shipping Costs

  • For items being returned under warranty or due to KO Welding error (e.g. faulty or incorrect item), return freight will be covered by us.
  • For all other return cases (e.g. change of mind), freight must be arranged and paid by the customer.

If you are eligible for a refund, we may reimburse reasonable shipping costs — subject to proof of cost.

Turnaround Time

Returns are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive the item. Refunds are issued via the original payment method.

Submitting a Return or Warranty Claim

To start a return:

  1. Contact us with your invoice number and issue details.
  2. Complete the return/warranty claim form if required.
  3. Include clear photos or videos where relevant.
  4. Await authorisation before returning goods.
  5. Return goods securely packed to avoid transit damage.

Warranty & Inspection

Once goods are returned to us:

  • Allow up to 7 business days for inspection.
  • We’ll notify you of the outcome (refund, replacement, repair).
  • Warranty decisions will be based on inspection and photos, and may be subject to manufacturer review.
